Kara and Harvey's friendship and professional journey started over two decades ago.  It all began when they first met at the BBC (Television Centre, London, U.K). They were both working on children's television, Kara a Producer/Director and Harvey a freelance Cameraman.   

The shared passion of storytelling and creating visually stunning imagery brought them together, and they quickly formed a strong bond.

During their time at the BBC, Kara and Harvey had the opportunity to work on various projects that took them across the world. They covered exciting stories, interviewed fascinating people, and honed their skills as filmmakers. This period of their lives was filled with adventure and excitement as they traveled immersing themselves in diverse cultures and experiences.

Kara had a short sabbatical from the BBC to start a family and is the proud mother of two boys.  Due to job requirements and an ambition to live in the US, Kara's family left London and relocated to Los Angeles. 

Harvey and his family of two daughters came to LA to continue his dream of working on large scale Hollywood productions. Harvey now works professionally as a Cinematographer and Camera Operator.

They decided to set up KARvey as they enjoy engaging with people, have vast experience of working with children and love Photographing Portraits.

It's a cliche, but children really do grow up so fast, we all have iphones, but rarely get great family pictures with everyone in it! KARvey's mission is simply to shoot interesting, family portraits, capturing a moment in time, that will be treasured for generations to come.  Images both you and your extended family will love to print and display in your homes. 

As well as photographing families, Kara and Harvey have a passion for Street Photography and love to wander all over LA with a Cup of Tea and Camera in hand. 

Their journey is a testament to the power of friendship and shared ambitions.
